MTSU’s Pipeline system is known as the “Gateway to the MTSU Campus!” In Pipeline you are able to view and update your personal information, as well as view your student account, student records, financial aid (if applicable), and register for courses. It is a valuable tool that you will utilize while studying here at MTSU. Additionally, your MT Student email account is how you will stay connected to campus.
- Activate My Student Accounts
Read login instructions written under Student Accounts. This page will help you activate all your student accounts that you will need throughout your university career here at Middle Tennessee State University. These include:
- MTmail –
University staff will use your MTSU email account for all communication.
- PipelineMT –
This is the portal where you will register for classes, view your tuition account, and make appointments with university staff and faculty.
- Desire2Learn (D2L) –
This gives you access to all your course information, such as reading material, course assignments, and quizzes. Management of this portal is extremely important to be a successful student.

Living on campus places you at the center of the university community, ready for both academic and co-curricular activities. Many students find that MTSU residence halls or apartments are the right choice for them. However, space is limited and granted on a first come, first served basis so make sure to apply as early as possible. Learn more.
Most students at MTSU choose to live off-campus. Many apartment complexes are within walking distance of the university while others offer free shuttles to campus or are along public bus routes. Learn more.
